Playhouse 2026/2027 Impact
Playhouse 2026 reached 769+ young people across 22+ schools. Across the venues, the project also involved 70+ school staff, supported through workshops, CPD and input from theatre professionals across directing, technical and production roles. In total, 50+ workshops or sessions were delivered, leading to 27+ performances watched by a combined audience of 1847+ people.
At Theatre Royal Plymouth (TRP), the project also introduced a new technical element, with one young person from each school operating either lighting or sound for their performance, supported by TRP staff.
The feedback points to clear benefits for many pupils, particularly around confidence, creativity, teamwork and access to theatre -making in a professional venue.
